Edward J. Gross, M.D. graduated with honors from University of Miami,
where he received his Bachelor of Science degree with majors in chemistry
and biology. He received his Doctor of Medicine degree from the University
of Miami School of Medicine (FL) in 1989 and then continued his surgical
residency in Boston at Tufts and Boston University. Dr. Gross was then
granted a Fellowship in facial plastic surgery through the American Academy
of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. His specialized training
was strictly devoted to plastic surgery of the face, eyes, nose, head and neck.
Dr. Gross is double-board certified in Facial Plastic Surgery and Head &
Neck Surgery. He is a member of numerous prestigious academies, is a published
author and has lectured at national and local conferences on plastic surgery.
Dr. Gross was voted one of the Best Plastic Surgeons in Florida by Orlando
Magazine and has been featured in the Orlando Sentinel as a leader in his field.
Dr. Gross is actively involved with the medical community and has been
recognized by the Florida Medical Association as a “Distinguished
Physician Who Cares”. He is President of the Seminole County Medical
Society and is a Physician Mentor for Seminole County High School students.
Safety is Dr. Gross’s number one concern during surgery and he takes
this responsibility very seriously. The utmost safety standards are in place at Primera Surgery Center, our AAAASF
fully accredited surgical facility. This center was designed by Dr. Gross to allow
for the highest standards in surgical expertise while allowing maximum comfort for
his patients. Primera Surgery Center's team is staffed with highly trained M.D.
Anesthesiologists and Nurses.
Dr. Gross is a member of the FACE TO FACE® program a humanitarian
surgical program conducted under the Academy of Facial Plastic and
Reconstructive Surgery (AAFPRS) to help victims of domestic violence.
Dr. Gross has helped many patients in Central Florida who have sustained
facial scars and injuries as a result of domestic violence. He donates
his time and expertise pro bono as a way of giving back to the Orlando
community.
Dr. Gross takes great pride in educating his patients. He enjoys
teaching and using the computer Video Images to go through his
procedures step by step to ensure that his patients are completely
at ease and comfortable with their decision for surgery.
Dr. Gross’ patients take comfort in having their questions
answered in an open, honest fashions and knowing their decision feels
right for them. Computer video imaging is also an essential tool. Dr.
Gross has a position on the Written Exam Development Group of the ABFPRS
to develop exam questions for the National Board Exam for the ABFPRS.
